Sales and Account Representative – Louisiana, Mississippi, Colorado, Kansas, Oklahoma and North Texas
Mike Brown joined IHS in 2008 and is responsible for managing and growing business in Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas. Mike also works with IHS pharmacy benefit management, PBM partner to provide for immediate need local pharmacy prescriptions for IHS facilities.
Mike is a graduate of Mississippi State University and holds the designation of Managed Health Care Professional, MHP. Prior to joining IHS, Mike was employed in the health and pharmacy services industry working for both regional and national companies such as Health Net and Humana. This experience allows Mike insight in to both medical and pharmacy issues facing IHS pharmacy and its customers.
Mike resides in Madison, Mississippi and is married with four children. Aside from his professional duties, Mike enjoys fishing, hunting and working in his garden.
Sales and Training Specialist – Arkansas, Iowa, Tennessee, Kentucky, Indiana, Illinois and Missouri
Cathy began this position in 2006. She is responsible for all account development and management in Tennessee, Kentucky, Arkansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, northern Texas, Indiana and Illinois. She has over 35 years health care experience. She is a retired Navy Chief Hospital Corpsman and pharmacy technician. She is a graduate of Union University in Jackson TN with a degree in Health Care Administration.
Cathy is married to her husband of 19 years, Mo. They reside on a small urban farm in Jackson Tennessee. She is the mother of two, Harrison Jones and Kalie Foust. In her spare time she enjoys gardening, cooking and camping. She also loves animals and has three dogs, one cat, twenty chickens and one guinea. Farm fresh eggs are available on request.
Sales and Account Representative – South Texas
John joined IHS in December 2015 and is responsible for marketing, new business development and account management for the state of Texas. He has over 35 years of experience in the field of Criminal Justice. John retired in 2006 from the Texas Department of Criminal Justice as Deputy Director. During his tenure with TDCJ John held many management and leadership positions to include Regional Director, Divisional Director and Deputy Director. Most recently John worked in the private sector with CiviGenics, Community Education Centers and as an independent consultant.
John is married and he and his wife Donna reside in Huntsville, Texas. They have three children and two grandchildren. Hobbies include traveling, hiking, hunting, snorkeling, weightlifting and projects around the house.
Marketing Director – Texas
Mr. Scott served over 30 years with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice and the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles. He began his career in corrections in 1972 as a correctional officer and progressed through the ranks to serve as Executive Director of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ). While Executive Director, Mr. Scott oversaw an agency that had 40,000 employees, 150,000 inmates and over 65,00 parolees.
Since his retirement, Mr. Scott has remained active in the criminal justice field as a consultant. Mr. Scott graduated from Sam Houston State University in 1972 and was named a Distinguished Alumni in 2000. In 2013, Mr. Scott was the recipient of the Louie Wainwright Award given by the Association of State Correctional Administrators for demonstrating outstanding achievements in the field of corrections.
Marketing Director East and South
Phil comes to IHS Pharmacy from Securus Technologies, a government services agency. During his five year tenure with Securus, he was Major Account Executive for South Carolina, North Carolina, and mid-Tennessee.
Phil began his law enforcement career in 1982 as a dispatcher with the Pickens County (SC) Sheriff’s Office. After working through the ranks, he retired there as Captain of Administration in 2011. His entire career always included the detention center even though he held other responsibilities such as Crime Scene Processing, Training, and Sex Offender Registration, among others.
Phil was also the first Jail Administrator in SC to use the SC Set-Off Debt Collection Act to seize state and federal income tax refunds of individual inmates to reimburse their agency for payments made for medication and doctors’ visits.
Phil is a graduate of Anderson University (SC) and Clemson University. He is also a graduate of the FBI’s National Academy (Session 186th) in Quantico, VA and he holds numerous state and federal certifications. Phil and his wife, Jane, have two daughters, Caroline and Courtney S. Harmon (Roy) – and one granddaughter (JJ) born on May 26th of this year. Phil and his family reside in Easley, SC. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, working in the yard, trout fishing, and spending time with his family.
